Terms of Service

You must be able to form a binding agreement to create an account. Accounts for minors are created and managed by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for their child’s use of the app. By adding a child to your family, you confirm you are their parent or guardian and consent to their use under your supervision.

Keep your login credentials secure and provide accurate information. You are responsible for activity under your account and, for family accounts, your children’s activity. Notify us of any unauthorized use.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive license to host, display, and distribute your content as needed to operate the app. You are responsible for your content and must have the rights to share it. Don’t post anything unlawful, infringing, or that violates someone’s privacy.

You agree not to: harass, bully, threaten, or harm others; post sexual, violent, hateful, or illegal content; impersonate others; spam or scrape; attempt to access accounts or data that aren’t yours; or interfere with the app’s operation. We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Groups/co-ops, gatherings, and learning hunts are created and run by users — not by Explorer Social. We do not organize, supervise, endorse, or vet them, their organizers, their locations, or their participants. We do not conduct background checks on users unless expressly stated for a specific program. Any decision to join a group, attend a gathering, go on a hunt, or meet another user is yours, and you make it at your own risk.

Explorer Social connects real people and families. Use good judgment: verify who you’re meeting, meet in public when appropriate, and always supervise your children in person and online. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and for the safety of your family at any in-person activity.

The app is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any user, group, event, or information is safe, accurate, or trustworthy.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Explorer Social, Teamdb LLC, and our officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the app, any activity or interaction arising from it, or these Terms. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $100.

Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Explorer Social and Teamdb LLC from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the app, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your interactions with other users or participation in any activity coordinated through the app.

Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions or purchases. Pricing and terms will be shown before you buy. Where purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play, those stores’ billing terms also apply. Unless required by law or stated otherwise, payments are non-refundable.

You may stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the community. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, and 9) will survive.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

We may update these Terms; we’ll post the new version here and update the date above, and communicate significant changes in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions? Email info@explorersocial.com.
